The DL-808D hair removal laser uses an 808nm wavelength laser or a combination of three wavelengths: 755+808+940+1064 with semiconductor technology. The applicator emits a laser beam that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle. After absorption, the laser energy is converted into thermal energy, which deactivates the hair follicles and surrounding stem cells, leading to permanent hair removal.
This wavelength offers stronger energy absorption by the melanin chromophore, making it ideal for light and thin hair.
